More Info about the Documents Library

Why are those @*!!#* watermarks pasted all over the documents?

You will undoubtedly notice the web address plastered all over many of the documents provided here. This is not to be evil or a jerk but instead to prevent the abuse of the resources here. It is all too easy to imagine these freely-available documents showing up for sale on ebay or some other place. These watermarks provide a measure of deterrent to anyone who might try to turn a profit on unsuspecting folks.

These resources are absolutely not intended for commercial purposes! Any such use is the absolute antithesis to the notion of this entire site!

Please do not use materials on this site for profit.

For now, many documents here will be thusly marked to prevent such shenanigans. I have taken care to ensure that the readability of the documents has not suffered from the addition of these watermarks. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Contributions to This Library

In the spirit of the free flow and availability of information, I would like to implore anyone who has historical documents and does not necessarily have the time or tools to scan and preserve them, to contact me about adding them to this library.

This library exists to benefit all and is absolutely NON-PROFIT. I ask for no money, and I assume all costs associated with its maintenance and the scanning and editing of the documents within. I would like to encourage anyone with documents of historical interest to preserve them as best they can so they are not lost to time. To that end, if you have missile-related documents or photos that you would like to see included here, please contact me and see if we can make arrangements to digitize them for inclusion here. I pledge to treat any materials with the utmost of care and see them safely returned to you--AT NO COST.

Information is of little use when it is stored away where it cannot be accessed. Vast stores of information on missile history sit in public and private hands-- in company archives, in libraries, in basements and storage units--essentially lost and useless. How long will it be before it is truly lost to fire, flood or simply thrown away? My own collection has been largely hidden away for years and though I have been able to use it for research, it has largely served no one; it is time for that to end.

If you have documents and materials relating to missile history, please preserve them digitally. If you are unable to preserve them yourself, see if someone else can do it for you. This library will continue expanding as I complete the documents I have, and will hopefully expand further as more become available.

This is an experiment really, but for now, I offer my services as long as I can keep up. Due credit will be given here if so desired.

My thanks,

-Groundskeeper Pete
