Thought to be Lowry 725-B. Denver Post photo showing one of the three silo with doors standing open. In November of the same year, all three silo doors would be closed using cranes for safety reasons. Photo captions reads: "120-TON, 5-FOOT THICK CONCRETE AND STEEL DOORS, IN PHOTO BELOW, POSE PROBLEM FOR COLORADO LAND BOARD COMMISSIONSERS Unlike doors in site at top photo, silo doors must be closed by the same method not that salvage crews have removed hydraulic mechanisms from them." NOTE: door hydraulic ram is still in place at this site/silo which is a rare sight; also, silo doors are closer to 2 feet thick, not 5 as stated in the caption. Taken: July 26, 1968 Source: Denver Post (liquidated archives), photo by Bill Johnson, staff photographer.
