Construction photo of launcher #1 at an unknown site and squadron, most likely Lowry 724th or 725th or Beale 851st. AMF engineer G. Soffer stands on the missile platform which has been raised to the surface. He is shown working with one of the four missile restraining mechanisms where he appears to be removing protective plastic.

Four such support and restraining mechanisms held each missile firmly in place on the missile platform until takeoff, the supports pivoting away to clear the airframe after it has been released. In the background at left, the high frequency discone antenna with its distinctive conical shape can be seen. On the right, the entry portal silo doors can be seen standing open.
