Photo shows excavated construction site with power house and control center domes at center in early construction showing the 'open-cut excavation' method used for the underground complex comprising the Titan I. Photo caption reads: "Aerial view shows about one-third of the Titan I complex on the Lowry Bombing Range east of Denver. The excavation shown is to a depth of about 40 feet.
